Acceptable Use Policy

This policy exists because the Service will fetch and cut media on your instruction. What you point it at is your responsibility.

Do not submit media you have no right to use

That includes content you do not own and are not licensed to process, and content behind a URL whose terms forbid automated downloading. Giving us a link is you asserting you are entitled to process what is behind it.

Do not use the Service to deceive

Clipping is editing, and editing can misrepresent. Do not use the Service to fabricate a statement someone did not make, to splice words into a false claim, or to produce material presented as an authentic record when it is not.

Do not submit unlawful content

Including child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence, and content that infringes another person's rights. We report what the law requires us to report.

Do not abuse the infrastructure

No attempts to exceed your credit balance, circumvent rate limits, create accounts to farm free-tier credit, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities without asking us first. Security research is welcome — email us and we will talk.

Enforcement

We may suspend access for a breach of this policy. Where we can tell you why, we will. Report abuse to hello@ottocut.com.
